MLB Streams and Schedule

Today's baseball games and the week ahead, with first pitch in your own time zone. In October this page follows the postseason game by game.

Tomorrow Friday, October 16

A baseball day, start to finish

On a full day of the regular season there can be fifteen games, and they are spread across the clock. Day games start around 1:05 PM local time, most night games at 7:05 or 7:10 PM local time, and West Coast night games run late into the evening on the East Coast. Sundays are mostly afternoon games plus one national night game. This page sorts each day by first pitch, in your time zone.

Rain is the one thing that moves a baseball start. A delayed game keeps its place on the list, and a postponed game usually comes back as part of a doubleheader on a later date, which then shows up here as two separate games.

The season and the postseason

Teams play 162 games from late March to late September. Spring training games in February and March are listed when the sources carry them. Twelve teams make the postseason, six from each league. The two best division winners in each league skip the best-of-three Wild Card Series and go straight to the best-of-five Division Series. The League Championship Series and the World Series are best of seven, and the World Series ends in late October or the first days of November.

Postseason dates depend on how long the series before them last, so a game marked "if necessary" in the official schedule only appears here once it is certain to be played.

How games are shown in the US

Most regular-season games are local broadcasts on a regional sports network or the team's own channel. A few each week are national games, and those are blacked out on local channels. MLB.TV streams out-of-market games, with the home market blacked out. The World Series airs on FOX.

That split is why our game pages can list two different broadcasts for one game: one link may carry the home team's commentators and another the visitors'. The first link is the one we expect to be most stable.

Other ways to follow a game

MLB.TV is the official route for out-of-market games, and it has a free game of the day for anyone with a free MLB account. Many regional sports networks now sell a streaming plan of their own for local games, which helps if you dropped cable but still live in your team's area. In October the League Championship Series are split between FOX and FS1 on one side and TBS and truTV on the other, so the channel changes from series to series.

If you cannot watch at all, the official MLB app and the Gameday view on MLB.com follow every pitch, and most teams have a radio broadcast you can stream for free on the team's own site. Plenty of fans keep the radio call on even when the TV picture is up.

Using this page

The schedule runs seven days ahead. Live games move to the top of their day with the score and inning when we have them. A finished game stays for a few hours, then leaves the list.

Stream links appear on a game page when the sources list them, usually shortly before first pitch. If a page has no links yet, check again closer to the start.

If the stream drops

Move to the next link on the game page. If none of them load, reload the player page and close other tabs that are playing video. Some players do not load through certain VPN servers. The players belong to other websites; CrackStreams stores and sends no video.

Doubleheaders and makeup games

When two teams play twice in one day, the second game is listed separately. A split doubleheader has two start times hours apart. A traditional one starts the second game about 30 minutes after the first ends, so its time on this page is an estimate until the first game is over.
